Why a Star?

 A Star of Bethlehem PowerPoint works for every Christmas Carol.  It works for anthems and Bible Verses and Sermon notes. How is that possible? Because it universally captures the feeling of Christmas. 

The greatness of Christ's birth - God's special announcement - this bright shining star was huge and unlike anything that had ever happened. It also defies cultural limitations.  Many people have preconceived images of what Christ looks like - hair color, skin color etc.  The Christmas Star sidesteps all these cultural limitations and allows everyone to be drawn into .worship.

And finally, I think it works well because we are all like the Three Kings - stepping out in faith seeking our Savior. The Christmas Star opens the door everyone in the room.
