Pentecost PowerPoint Tip: How to add an interesting texture to a font

Set the tone: I like to add a variegated red shading to the welcoming slides and lyric title slides. Adding this color variation to the text is easy to do!

First, find a colored background that you like - something that has different shades in it. You may have to copy and then crop the copied image so you have the best selection for the font.

In PowerPoint, highlight the text. Click on the "Shape Format" button in the top center of the PowerPoint Screen. Click on the "Text Fill" button. A drop down menu will appear. Scroll down to "Picture." This will open up an attachment box. Simply find the colored photo you would like to use and double click. PowerPoint will put it into your font!

Good luck!
